This duo charmed audiences with its innovative, organic movement in a fusion of street dance and contemporary dance during his visit to Danse Danse 2014-15 season. With extreme fluidity that is in perfect symbiosis with the soundscape, Emmanuelle Lê Phan and Elon Höglund here pursue even further their exploration of harmony with the moving images of the painter Gene Pendon. Mandalas and other symbolic imagery engulf the space, bathing the bodies of the dancers with drawings. In this dreamscape, opposites assert their presence the better to merge together: shadow and light, angles and curves, masculine and feminine, speed and stillness. A visual phantasmagoria, a bewitchingly beautiful journey within that opens up the imagination and quickens the senses.
