Teaċ Daṁsa

Teaċ Daṁsa is a dance-theatre company founded in 2016 by Irish choreographer Michael Keegan-Dolan. Based in the Gaeltacht of West Kerry, Ireland, the company draws its energy and inspiration from the rugged landscape and living traditions of its native land. The name itself means “house of dance” in Gaelic, reflecting its deep roots in local culture, language, and music, while speaking to audiences around the world.

Since its inception, the company has earned recognition for works that uniquely intertwine contemporary dance, live music, theatre, and ritual. Teaċ Daṁsa’s creations offer a lyrical and powerful choreographic language, where gesture, sound, and storytelling intersect to explore the human experience, cultural connections, and collective identity. This distinctive blend is evident in landmark works such as Loch na hEala (2016), a reimagining of Swan Lake that received critical acclaim upon its premiere, and MÁM (2019), an immersive work conceived entirely within the Gaeltacht and honoured with an Olivier Award nomination.
