Kelly Shaw is a BFA honours graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University, and recipient of the University’s 2018 Jack McAllister award.
She is a Tkarón:to/ Toronto-based free-lance artist who has been a collaborator with several Toronto based dance companies touring internationally over the past 16 years, including but not limited to; ProArteDanza, Côté Danse, Human Body Expression, Transcendance Project, Alysa Pires Dance Projects, Frog in Hand, Gadfly, Helix Dance Project.
Kelly is a 2010, 2018, 2024 and 2025 Dora Mavor Moore nominee. She has
most recently performed in Seoul, Korea and Luxembourg in fall 2024. As well as rehearsal directed for Mainfranken Theatre Wurzburg in Germany, December 2024.
Kelly is a sought after dance educator and choreographer across Canada and
also works in Film and Television; choreographing lately for the new Duffer brothers show “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen” (Netflix), “Brilliant Minds” (NBC) and “Star Trek (Strange New Worlds, Crave)” . Additionally she is an actor, pilates and barre instructor, and somatic life coach, successfully working with clients to build self-esteem and overcome stagnation from mental, physical and emotional blockages.
