We are pleased to announce that Danse Danse is part of Digidance, a partnership with DanceHouse (Vancouver), Harbourfront Centre (Toronto) and the National Arts Centre (Ottawa).
Dance, perhaps more than other art forms, faces an uphill battle with the challenges presented by the pandemic. Yet despite the hurdles, the crisis has also been a powerful catalyst for change born out of necessity. Digidance was formed out of such a need.
By pooling expertise, experience and international networks, this initiative of major contemporary dance presenters aims to give audiences across the country digital access to exceptional Canadian and international works, and to contribute to the sustainability of dance in Canada.
For the kick-off: the Canadian premiere of Crystal Pite's Body and Soul, performed by the legendary Paris Opera Ballet.
